The Cliveden Conservation Workshop since its foundation as the National Trust Statuary Workshop in 1982, then as an independent company from 1990, has developed great expertise in specialist areas of conservation such as statuary conservation, architectural conservation, stone, plasterwork, masonry, carving and the decorative arts.
Heritage Testing Ltd is a specialised consultancy and laboratory testing service in support of construction, conservation and remediation. The cases range from vernacular cottages to historic churches, castles and ruins, including Westminster Palace, Syon House and the Royal Pavilion. Services include structural materials analysis of lime mortar, render, plaster, wattle and daub, cob, as well as historic cements and concretes. Defects within concrete structures can be diagnosed, as a precursor to an effective repair solution, including corrosion of embedded reinforcement, depth of cover, carbonation, half cell potential, chloride ion and sulphate ingress and total alkalis.
